Windows 10 wake timers keep re-enabling – caused by malware?

I’m running a PC with Windows 10. The computer has a problem with repeatedly waking from sleep or hibernation (e.g. every 30-60 mins), so I have tried to turn off my wake timers from the power options menu. While this setting is disabled, the computer does not wake from sleep or hibernation.

However, the wake timer keeps re-enabling by itself whenever I shut down or restart the computer. Are there any possible explanations for this? My best guess is that there is some malware doing this automatically, but I want to check if there is a simpler explanation?

I’ve already tried a variety of malware removal tools but nothing has changed.
